Who cares?

Who cares?

June 09, 20262 min read

We may not ask ourselves very often “who cares?”, but it is demonstrated every single day in how we think, act, and behave.

And it influences those around us.

"I don't suppose she'll want to work with us again." ...

"Oh well. Who cares?"

"It looks as if we’re going to lose that customer." ...

"Who cares? She was hard work".

"I don't think Mike's going to be happy when he hears about this." ...

"Who cares what Mike thinks?"

"I guess they won't be visiting us again." ...

"Probably not, but really - who cares?"

“I should have prepared more for this meeting. Ah, who cares? At least I'm here.”

It’s so easy to not care. To avoid difficult situations, brush it off, relinquish all responsibility, blame others...

But when we care we can make a difference –

It makes us responsible and provides the opportunity to positively contribute.

And this all starts with YOU as the Leader.

At times, it does feel like you’re running around like a headless chicken trying to do everything, and it’s tempting to cut corners, be dismissive, even stop caring about some aspects of your business.

But the moment you feel like this it’s important to take a breath and a step back, remember why you set-up in the first place – why you cared and how you were going to change the world in your own way.

And if you hear yourself saying “who cares”, then remember the impact this will have on those around you.

We love what we do – it’s one of our Maxim’s that we live and breathe every day – and we care. It’s not all plain sailing, and we do dish out tough love, but it’s because we want the best for our clients and what their business needs (not necessarily always what they want).

Take care.
