Take a Chance

Take a Chance

April 23, 20261 min read

Don’t worry, this isn’t a tribute to Abba...

Every year on 23rd April, Take a Chance Day encourages us to break out of our comfort zone.

It shouldn’t take an National Day once a year to do this, but it’s a timely reminder to address any unaccomplished goals or dreams.

And the reason why so many business owners are failing at achieving their goals and dreams is because they’re so bogged down in the day-to-day that they’ve lost sight of them, or simply because they never set them out in the first place.

Regardless of however long you’ve been in business for, and whatever industry you’re in, you must be able to answer these two questions:

1.What do you want out of your business and life? And,

2.What are you prepared to do, to get it?

Only until you have answered these, can you then work out what Numbers you need to deliver in your business, and what Path you need to take to deliver these Numbers.

Not only will this help you realise your longer-term dreams and goals, but in the short term will help you go:

  • From a business running you, to you running your business...

  • From living Groundhog Day every single day, to seeing daily progression...

  • From everything relying on you, to shared responsibility...

  • From not adequately feeding yourself to a Path for a business to a lifestyle...

  • And from little to complete confidence.

My final thought is that the sooner you become comfortable with the uncomfortable, the easier the process (and journey) becomes.
