I can’t believe that my little black book I don’t work Fridays has just turned 10 years old!I’m not using this as shameless plug...I’m using this milestone for 3 things:

1 – To Celebrate Success

We always celebrate success in our community, however big or small, and this is a heartfelt THANK YOU for supporting the book, the movement, and for what it ultimately stands for: creating a business that successfully runs whether you turn up or not, so that you can create a business on your own T.E.R.M.S.

2 – To Recognise Impact

Proceeds from all book sales are donated to the charity close to our hearts: Sands, the Stillborn and Neonatal Death Charity. To date we’ve raised over £23,605.74 for them, a per centage of which are also from referrals, and fundraisers.So, again, thank you.

We’re also in the fortunate position to support our local community club Camberley Town Youth FC, who we not only financially sponsor, but help support with ‘Kit Man’ duties and Committee Member.

And, last June, we held our second I don’t work Fridays 4x4 Charity Challenge where 110 kids and their families from Camberley Town Youth FC and Yateley Silverbacks Basketball Club came together to celebrate the end of the season and have a fun day out.We raised a staggering £6,000 (£3k for Sands and £1.5k each for the two clubs)! It was a proud day.

3 – To Figure it out. Build it. Become it.

For years I’d listened to lots of people telling me to get that book out of me.But it took me a long time to knuckle down and do it. And when I did, it took a lot of confidence to put it (and myself) out there.

Whether it’s a book, a new product, something that may not be broken but could be better, or something in your personal life lurking at the back of your mind, then please allocate time to Figure it out. Build it. Become it.

It just leaves me to say Happy Birthday and here’s a snapshot of the last 10 years in print!
