Who, Not How
As you know, I’m a prolific reader and love learning. I’ve recently started Who Not How by Dan Sullivan; it’s all about: ‘how to achieve bigger goals through accelerating teamwork’.
I’m fascinated by the concept of the book, because I know first hand from working with hundreds of business owners that people don’t do things because they either don’t know how to, or they don’t want to (for whatever reason). And so the task in hand stays on a list (at best), and lingers on our mind as we keep putting it off.
But Sullivan says instead of asking ourselves:
“How can I do this?”
We should be asking:
“Who can do this for me?”
By turning the How into the Who is a totally different problem to solve and makes us stop limiting potential on what we can solely do. Exciting, right?
Now, I appreciate there is more to just asking this question, and I can’t wait to delve deeper into the book. But one to add to your reading list and to start thinking about this mindset shift > Who Not How.
