You said that last year…
We’re hitting September (already) this week, so a good time to reflect.
Answer me honestly, how many of these have happened to you over the last few months?
#1 Your last day in the office turned into Armageddon.
#2 You cancelled meetings last minute, despite having them in the diary for months.
#3 Your ‘Out of Office’ asserted you wouldn’t be checking emails….
#4 You checked emails every 30 mins, every day of your holiday.
#5 Lack of holiday planning meant you paid triple the price that you’d budgeted.
#6 You left Jane in charge, but you called in and interrupted her at least once a day to “check-in”.
#7 Your friends/partner/kids called you ‘boring’ because you were constantly stuck in the shade. You blamed the heat, but it was really because you could see your screen better.
#8 You had a life-changing lightbulb moment…
#9 You haven’t done anything about it since you returned because you’re too busy.
#10 You promised yourself it won’t be like this next year.
#11 You said that last year . . .
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
But wouldn’t it be nice to STOP repeating this time and time again?
It’s not rocket science; but it does take focus, discipline, planning, and guidance (because we’re not superhuman).
Here’s a short, heart-felt video from Mark. This isn’t about me, or the services we provide. This is about Mark’s honest journey, and time for you to take a step back and think about:
- why you set-up your business in the first place
- how near or far you’re away from achieving this
- what’s getting in your way
