Firms in Fleet sign-up to Skillwise and launch September Open Day to find their next Apprentices
Three companies all with offices in Bramshot Lane, Fleet, have teamed up to hold an Open Day at their offices on 3rd September in their search for a young apprentice. They are inviting 17 to 24 year olds to a fun-packed Apprentice Open Day to find out more about the exciting new opportunity and to gain invaluable experience in team exercises and interviewing.
Boosh 365, Your Next Mortgage and Advocate Business Services are each looking for a Marketing, Social Media & Business Administration Apprentice and are inviting 17-24 years olds to an Open Day at 10:00am on Thursday 3rd September at 5 Great Bramshot Farm Barns, Bramshot Lane, Fleet.
The three local firms have joined up to the national programme launched by Skillwise who are changing the face of apprenticeships. Forget the old style apprenticeship programmes where students get a one day release each week. The three successful candidates will be taken on two amazing 2-week residential experiences at the National Skillwise Academy. Not only will they be trained by some of the top apprenticeship tutors in the country, they’re going to be trained by the best marketing minds in the UK from the Entrepreneur’s Circle.
In just 14 months, if the apprentices have learnt everything they’ve been taught and made a great impression on placement, they could be looking at a salary of between £15 and £25k.
John Thompson, founder of Your Next Mortgage commented: “As a local business it’s essential that we pool resources to attract and develop home grown talent. With GCSE and A Level results looming, college isn’t for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity for bright ambitious individuals in and around the Fleet area who are looking to get loads of practical hands on training without the all the student debts.”
Mark Rose, Managing Director at Boosh 365 has been running successful Apprenticeship programmes for a number of years. Rose commented: “It’s exciting to be part of this new program working with local businesses to support the areas we work and live in. Whilst the BBC reported UK jobless rises yesterday, unemployment figures in Hart have been bucking the local trend thanks in part to businesses like ours taking the opportunity of government schemes put in place to abolish long term youth unemployment.”
Martin Norbury, owner of Advocate Business Services and recently voted Business Mentor of the Year 2015 said: “It’s pretty difficult to scale your business without staff. The Skillwise apprenticeship initiative is what local entrepreneurs have been looking for. The right attitude, right skills and ready to add value. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both young adults in and around Fleet to take that next step, and for us as local businesses as we continue to grow”.
To register for the Open Day on 3rd September 2015 please email openday@bramshotbarns.co.uk with the subject OPEN DAY and in no more than 50 words tell us why you’re our perfect Apprentice. Please include your full name, address & telephone number.
