Don’t be Haunted by Regret
There is a really interesting insight that nurse Bronnie Ware wrote about from working in palliative care for many years: “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying”.
She was with people in the last 12 weeks of their lives, and she compiled the Top Five regrets her patients had, and expressed how clear of vision they were about them:
1). I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2). I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
3). I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4). I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5). I wish that I had let myself be happier.
Powerful, right?
And a timely reminder that it’s not too late to make some changes in your life (to which your business is intrinsically linked).
