The Scottish Shutter Company triumphs at Ad Astra Awards 2016
• Annual Awards organised by Business Mentor & Scalability Coach Martin Norbury celebrates achievements of its UK members
• Dundee-based The Scottish Shutter Company recognised for its company vision and business alignment
The Scottish Shutter Company, based in Dundee, beat off strong competition from fellow members across the UK at the recent Ad Astra Awards 2016. Hosted by Scalability Coach Martin Norbury, The Scottish Shutter Company won the F1 Grand Prix Team Award 2016; an accolade praising the company’s business alignment and team unity.
The Scottish Shutter Company has been working with Martin for just over four months as part of the Advocate Program; a new approach to the principles of the Non-Executive Director which brings all the benefits and advantages “big” business have to the small-to-medium-sized business.
Martin commented: “In a very short space of time working together, Judith and her team got a real understanding of their position, took massive action, and aligned everything in their business to achieve this. We used the Formula 1 analogy for the award because of the total unity of a F1 Grand Prix team – from clothing to pit stops to performance. The team’s management looks at individual performances and measures absolutely everything to the finest degree, but ultimately the entire team wins together and loses together.”
Judith D’Ambrosio, Business Development Manager at The Scottish Shutter Company commented: “Over the last quarter, we had a real focus on ensuring that our vision, systems and processes were all aligned. It’s been a huge amount of work but we’re already seeing the rewards; we now have all the systems, skills and processes aligned to run the business efficiently. We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised for this.”
