During these uncertain times, it’s tempting more so now than ever to keep saying ‘Yes’ to things.
As a business owner, you’re pulled from pillar to post and it feels like all the people you care about – your team, customers, family, prospects, friends, suppliers, business partners – all want a piece of you.
And more often than not, people expect an instant reaction, or instant gratification.
Whilst you feel you don’t want to let people down, saying ‘Yes’ to everything will only overwhelm you, and distract you from your end goals.
So, this week is a quick reminder that:
“Saying YES to something, means saying NO to something else.”
Here’s two ways to help keep you on track, focused, and help you manage your time effectively:
Focus on Money Now:
Allocate time for activities that drive your revenue today.
Focus on Money Future:
Dedicate time on activities that will drive your business going forwards and set you up for your future (i.e. finding new clients, developing a new business model, working on your exit plan etc).
If you’re still being constantly bombarded with requests, rather than saying ‘Yes’ to each of them, you need to look at why this is and proactively look at ways to:

There’s nothing wrong with saying ‘No’, it’s all about delivering the message back, and keeping you on track to your end goals for your business and life.
